The Constitution doesn't say what the states can't do to you. And, outside the Bill of Rights, it doesn't say what the federal government can't do to you. It simply enumerates the limited powers of the federal government. The 10th Amendment makes this even more explicit by stating that anything not in the Constitution is left for the states and the people.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
