I care. The tower already has a name — St Stephen’s, named for the first Christian martyr. In these times hell bent on de-Christianizing Britain, is it too much to ask that the Defender of the Faith resist this assault on the Christian character of her country, even if disguised as a tribute in her honor?

Oh big freakin' whoop, name a clock tower after the monarch.Might as well be a bus stop,or a public toilet. In the old days it would be an impressive statue,or a grand edifice like the Victorians did.

But alas, there is probably no money available for such grand enterprises due to the overburdened welfare programs giving it all away to deadbeats and immigrants.Do you know I have a brother-in-law who got sacked from his job in 1981 for being consistantly late, even though he lived 50 feet from the works gate.

Yep,been "retired" for 31 years so far.But the lazy bastard still eats every day and lives in the same house.

Yes..... it's current name is The Clock Tower. Sometimes referred to as Big Tom. The name "St. Stephen's "was given to it by journalists reporting from Westminster - or rather from St. Stephen's Hall where the MPs met.

The largest bell in the Clock Tower is Big Ben.
