What a failure. It appears that Oakland residents are smarter than their government thought.

The peeps should hold a conference where the cops would sell their guns to them.

(Could invite Mikie Doomberg.)

I could use some parts off the Jennings and Phoenix Saturday Night Specials that are being turned in. Once set up properly, they’re fun little guns.

I always think of the term “buyback” as if the guns belonged to the cops to start with. How can the buy back what was never theirs?

Not the first...the first was even worse:

Feb 25, 2008

“Oakland’s recent gun buyback was especially ridiculous. The police offered up to $250 for a gun “no questions asked, no ID required.” The first people in line? Two gun dealers from Reno with 60 cheap handguns. Fortunately the buyback did manage to get some guns off the street, too bad they were turned in by a bunch of senior citizens from an assisted living facility.”

http://marginalrevolution.com/marginalrevolution/2008/02/gun-buyback-mis.html

They had to shut it down when they ran out of money....several dealers from Nevada were unhappy.

Oakland residents had donated $10,000 to help with the gun buyback effort.

There's a sucker born every minute!

...Maybe every 30 seconds in Oakland.

I hope no law-abiding citizen surrendered his or her firearm.

Activities such as these will not deter criminals, however.

I wish they’d have a gun buyback program in my neighborhood. I have an old Ithaca M-66 SuperSingle shotgun with a cracked and unrepairable frame that I’d love to sell for $100.

The failure of this is the fault of Zero — the Obama Recession, the upsurge in jihad worldwide, his failure to enforce the law — and the Occutard riots nationwide, and the riots local to Oaktown. Thanks marktwain.

I’ve got an old Iver Johnson .32 S&W with a cracked cylinder I would sell for $100.

Same here. I’ve got a 20 ga Montgomery ward minus the barrel. I paid $15 for at a yard sale. Gladly take $100 for it.

Some wit could have fun with this, publicizing the next buy back is for $100 in crack rocks. They would probably get more guns from the flea-brains out there.

“Here my gun, where da crack?”

“What you mean, no crack? Den I ain’t gibben you my gun!”

“What you mean you takin’ my gun anyways?”

Oh, that’s funny! Kudos to the dealers from Reno who took advantage of this stupidity.

What they really need is a criminal turn-in program.

Now that’s thinking outside the box. One weapon for your choice of meth or coke. They would be buried in guns.

Seriously, what intelligent person/citizen would think that anyone would turn in anything but junk for a $100, let alone a good weapon?

Just so long as no one figures out that gun buy backs are just a way to disarm Blacks so it will be easier to round them up when the time comes.

And Farrakhan is carrying out his part of the plan as well. He’ll tell folks that they are going to that separate nation that he’s demanded. So they’ll get on the transports without a fuss.

Fruitvale to 98th Ave. is owned by the drug dealers so no drugger is gonna surrender steel, only lawabiders will coz the podmasters are running things there and they are watching every move the cowboys make there and video`g everything and everyone who goes near the cowboys. Then they [druggers]will go to their houses for revenge. The cowboys are endangering innocent people by doing these stupoid buybacks...
