The Media Starts to Lay Down Markers on a Romney Victory
Weekly Standard ^ | 06/04/2012 | Mark Hemingway

In case you missed it, in her column today Maureen Dowd is starting to wonder, is Obama necessary?:

The president who started off with such dazzle now seems incapable of stimulating either the economy or the voters. His campaign is offering Obama 2012 car magnets for a donation of $10; cat collars reading “I Meow for Michelle” for $12; an Obama grill spatula for $40, and discounted hoodies and T-shirts. How the mighty have fallen.

Once glowing, his press is now burning. “To a very real degree, 2008’s candidate of hope stands poised to become 2012’s candidate of fear,” John Heilemann wrote in New York magazine, noting that because Obama feels he can’t run on his record, his campaign will resort to nuking Romney.

In his new book, “A Nation of Wusses,” the Democrat Ed Rendell, the former governor of Pennsylvania, wonders how “the best communicator in campaign history” lost his touch.

He never HAD a "touch" for anything other than reading a teleprompter. He found out the job description of President calls for more skill sets than just reciting vapid sound bites and sounding awesome when reading text.

He didn't lose his touch. The Good Lord took Ronald Reagan home.

Buy 4 for $160, and you might be able to smack one half of Moochelle’s gigantic azz.

Not that any sane man would want to do that.

I’d call it more of an adjustment than “tanking”. The communist bigot is down from 60% to 53% - still leading over Mitt.

Obama was the answer to America’s fantasy of a “clean and articulate” black who would unite the country. He didn’t work out.

This is what ultimately happens when your candidate is entirely a creation of the media.

I'll give Ed Rendell credit for some street smarts.

He was a corrupt bastard who governed the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for eight long years like the machine mob boss which he was. He left the budget in economic shambles, but at least he had the sense not to fleece us so bad that he was able to carry on his charade for eight years and leave us where we could still be repaired.

ObaMao and his mob minions lack that basic sense.

Obama is superfluous to the left, after all they have a Romney to replace him.

The MSM likely has no problem with Romney other than his designation as REPUBLICAN. For MSM the socialism is a given and Romney will probably satisfy that. The problem is the same problem that exists among socialists everywhere, that of membership in a particular socialist political organization. Ideological promotion comes first, but when the enemies of socialism are dispatched then the strife remains as the unamalgamated socialist groups turn on each other in an us-vs-them fight. When that fight results finally in a single Party, then the knifing continues among blocs and individuals over which one will rule the now total system. Violence is integral to socialism.

The MSM didn’t “create” the kenyan. Some sheiks and some Communists created him. The MSM happily promoted him.

Dunno what you’re reading. Rasmussen has had Romney up now for a week or two, today up by a couple and, more important, Romney has been at 50% now for two straight polls. Yea, I’d call that Obama tanking.
