What makes you think "homosexual couplings" are common in the animal kingdom? They are not at all, particularly in the sense that you imply - that animals would have a specific preference for their gender over the opposite gender. The only ones pushing that poppycock are queer theory agendists.
Observed "homosexual" behavior in animals has to do with expression of dominance (such as with male dogs), conflict of signals (such as when a male dog might mount another male who carries the scent of a female in heat), environmental stressors, or conflict avoidance (such as in some species of ape). These outlier examples are the exceptions. Animals are hardwired to follow the natural law, and their instinct to mate with the opposite sex to procreate.

I just googled “homosexual animal” and looked through the results. It’s not too difficult. Try it. I wasn’t trying to imply anything. I was just wondering why God allows homosexual activity in animals, since He could easily have prevented it altogether.
