Why the hell would you name your daughter Stanley anyway? Yeah, this is my mom, Stan or this is my little girl Stanley. What the hell was wrong with this family?

There's Stanley Ann and Anne Stanley. The first became involved in Indonesia when she grew up. The second was involved in Malaya back in the 1920s ~ her son became a famous traitor who betrayed the Brits to the invading Japanese in WWII. He was hanged during the war.

It becomes quite complicated but there are these old Brit and Portuguese families in the region whose interests crisscross both areas (Indonesia and Malaysia/Singapore). They have their own agenda, heroes, interests, etc.
