Great cartoon. Oppressive taxation has been used since the beginning of time to effectively slave peoples. The American founding fathers knew that they would never be free as long as the King had the authority to implement oppressive taxes. The tax situation of 1775 pales in comparison with the tax situation of 2012. At that time it was the King arbitrarily imposing taxes. In 2012 it is King Obama and his Court Jester Roberts who are arbitrarily imposing taxes, after explicitly telling the American people it was not a tax. If ever a revolution was justified, it certainly is now.
