Pine beetles were picked up on radar they came out of there so thick. Wasn't it the ELF people (Earth liberation Front) that burned down several places in Colorado and elsewhere?

It is hard to imagine a good enough reason not thin out forest areas and clear out the brush. My grandparents did this yearly to specifically prevent fires. It also keeps hunting trails clear and just plain looks better.
