Heard some guy on the radio late last evening...Cunningham (don’t remember his first name)...making the statement that there is no excitement for Romney in Ohio, none whatsoever. I don’t know; I could be wrong, but I took that as probably a realistic assessment of Romney and his campaign in the eyes of the electorate - no excitement at all. (Obviously, this could change by the fall.) Could there not have been a worse candidate to run against Obama...worse than McCain, even, IMHO of course.
I know what you mean. I know a LOT of politically active, politically minded people, I mean like state coordinators for advocacy groups, county GOP chairmen, etc., and I can’t think of a single one - outside of one woman who would get excited over a lump of jello if it had the “R” label on it - who is really happy or even satisfied with the current nominee.
It’s a shame - if Obama wins, there will be no one to blame but Republicans and conservatives themselves, for diddling around, flitting from one not-Romney to the next, tearing apart every conservative candidate for even the tiniest little flaws, and letting the Stepford Candidate skate in like he did.
