CBS Turns Blind Eye To Climate Change Hype Truth

Climate: While CBS touts a "groundbreaking" government report linking extreme weather and climate change, German researchers find 2,000 years of cooling and warmer temps in medieval times and the Roman era.

This summer's heat wave has given the global warmongers new hope in conning the hot and the restless into believing the whole thing is due to that SUV parked in your driveway and that coal-fired plant down the street.

Not so fast, say German researchers who documented a two millennia cooling trend. Both the Roman legions and Crusaders marched in warmer climes.

On Wednesday's CBS This Morning, CBS News correspondent Wyatt Andrews breathlessly intoned that a recent study from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) had established "the first-ever statistical connection between extreme weather and man-made climate change" and that the study "found that man-made heat made the Texas drought roughly 20 times more likely."

Well, you know the adage about lies, damned lies and statistic. We have documented how researchers at Britain's Climate Research Unit manipulated data to "hide the decline" in global temperatures that other data, such as from satellite observations, had indicated.

The U.N's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change relied on anecdotes from suspect sources to produce carefully edited reports warning about such things as the Himalayan glaciers soon disappearing.

Wyatt's report featured Tom Karl, chief of the climate office at NOAA, talking about shifts in the La Nina and El Nino ocean currents, which have contributed to our hot summer. But they are naturally occurring phenomena predating the Industrial Revolution.

We have to set up a tax fund a Federal program to figure out how to move the earth slightly closer to the Sun to prevent global cooling. Oh, by the way, the earth moving away from the Sun is caused by Americans who pass gas to eastward, so the UN has determined that Americans, and only Americans, are to pay the tax.

The Earth has been getting warmer and colder for 4 billion years. The only constant in Earth’s environment is change. It will continue to change till it’s consumed by the Sun.

After we had that one nasty winter, we changed from global warming to “climate change.”

Now, any bit of odd weather can be included in the hoax.

Amazing the blinders these "warmists" wear. While the Continental US had a very mild winter, Continental Europe was freezing. One of my co-worker's mother lives in Moscow. She wouldn't venture out during the day because of the cold. I also read hundreds froze to death in the Ukraine. Alaska also had a brutal winter. So the "warmists" and their media lapdogs are telling us the mild winter is proof of Global Warming.

Now the Northeast has a scorching summer and we hear the same claptrap. England is freezing and wet, thoroughly miserable. Guess to a warmist, the "globe" is Washington, DC, NYC and LosAngeles.

To perform a statistical analysis, one must have a sufficiently large data set. So far, we have been using modern methods (satellites) of measuring climate parameters for less than a century. So we have maybe 60 years of data. I'm pretty sure climate cycles last far longer than 60 years. Since our climate scientists haven't collected enough data to get a firm idea of the climate baseline (that is, its natural state), I do not see how they have any basis to claim that X amount of climate variability is due to human activities. Furthermore, since we have never seen a world without humans, against what are they making the comparison (i.e., what is their control)?

It's good to try to understand climate and try to figure out what affects it. It's bad to try to tie everything to a political agenda. That interferes with the real science that needs to be done.

Agenda 21 can’t be implemented without a scary boogeyman to make it acceptable. This is why they need to propagate the global warming hoax. They need an imaginary holocaust to make Americans surrender their individual rights and cooperate with them.
