HIV-AIDS is affecting black gay men in the United States on a scale unseen among any other group in the developed world, said a report issued Wednesday ahead of the International AIDS Conference.
So grave is the crisis that in some US cities, one in two black men who have sex with other men are HIV positive, according to the report from the Black AIDS Institute, the only national HIV-AIDS think tank focusing on African Americans.
"AIDS in America is a black disease, no matter how you look at it," its president and chief executive Phill Wilson, who is himself HIV positive, said ahead of Sunday's opening of the six-day global conference.
"The best lens through which to figure out what AIDS looks like in America is to look at AIDS in black America," he said in an interview, adding that it was time to "jump-start a new conversation... and build a robust response" to the crisis.

Using the CDC stats for the State of Georgia we could eliminate AIDs completely if we focused all of our anti-AIDs money/&c. into a 4 square block area of downtown Atlanta.
And, yes, those are all black homeless men who live there.
I’m glad that the truth is finally coming out.
(Ironically, there is no equal “female with AIDs” stat for that area to balance out the men.... Hmm... wonder how that could be...)

Oh, boy - I’ll go a-looking. I remember that from when my wife was getting her NP degree at Emory and had to do a research paper on AIDs in GA.

I must live in a sheltered world because I rarely see any noticeably gay black men. Except for yesterday. I noticed a black fellow walking three well groomed dogs trotting in sequence back to his car from the pet store and commented to him how well trained they appeared. He replied in the most flaming lisp I’ve every heard, “Thank-you tho much”.
This is the result of liberal welfare policies which took fathers out of black families.
