James Holmes, the suspect arrested in connection with the mass shootings at a screening of the new Batman movie early this morning in Aurora, CO, could be a registered Democrat, according to documents obtained by Breitbart News. Earlier, ABC News' Brian Ross and George Stephanopoulos speculated on Good Morning America that Holmes was a Tea Party member, based solely on a name appearing on a Tea Party website.
The James Holmes for whom Breitbart News has obtained documentation is 25 years old (the suspect has been reported as 24 years old). He has links to addresses in both Colorado and San Diego, where his mother has been reported to be from, according to news reports. He was issued a traffic citation in 2011--his sole run-in with the law. The same is true for the suspect arrested in connection with the shootings, according to reports. Update: Fox News reports that the suspect has a California-issued social security number, as does the man in the documents obtained by Breitbart News--a significant correlation, assuming the sources are independent.

After a dozen quick complaints about not being respectful to the victims (I wonder if the post was somehow automatically trigged to show up within the last hour, or someone wasn’t thinking), the post was deleted.
Breitbart goes out and finds out the nutter may actually be registered as a Democrat.
MAY ACTUALLY BE....Nothing different than the Democrats. Both sides are piss poor in this matter.
I recall last Friday President Obama said that entrepreneurs and business owners didn’t do it by themselves, the government helped them, with roads and stuff.

There is a way. It is the most commonly used way these things are done. It is Assertion. Assertion does not rely on facts or truth. Just assert what you want it to be and maintain that assertion without publishing facts and inconvenient stuff like that. It is done all the time. WE learn the facts, Rush gets them out, Hannity does, too, but most of the people who will be affected by the assertion only see it on TV and not Fox News.
But at least Breitbart’s article says that they have not been able to confirm the identity yet, but they have more facts to back up their speculation than ABC had to back up theirs. ABC, OTOH, trotted their story out as FACT and then had to retract.

Very early this morning (0530), as I awoke to the news-talk radio, I recalled them saying eyewitnesses said he had “a black flag” with him.
This has since stopped being reported, which I thought strange. Why would it be something that caught attention, and then just..dropped?
If he did indeed have a black flag, that might in fact be the Anarchist flag (OWS/Black Block)...
So it would make sense to omit that little tidbit if you already know you’re going to try to tie it to the Tea Party, and you’re talking points are already printed up and being distributed...

ABC just retracted and apologized for their story. All is well. I guess we just need to pray for the victims now. I read an article and it was pretty scary for some of them.

The idea that there might be two men named James Holmes in a city of 325,000 people (larger than St. Louis or Cincinnati) who both formerly lived in California—obviously too unlikely a possibility to be considered.

But the smear is out there already. Kind of illuminates what their mental processes are that they’re googling “Tea Party” and “James Holmes” while the blood of the victims is still wet on the ground.

You’re entirely correct, though - we should pray for the victims and families.
Of course it was scary for them - they’re unarmed, have no way of defending themselves from a lunatic, and their safe, normal, peaceful little worlds have been irreparably shattered.

I’d like to see how many of the folks in that theater had CCWs and were prevented from carrying by the Cinemark theater’s “No CCW Firearms” policy... being “law-abiding” got some folks killed by a guy who wasn’t “law-abiding”.
Not surprise. We have many people who lost jobs and are in financial crisis. Add the fact that 1/4 of Americans are on some psychological drug to cope with stress. Sooner or later one of them will snap.

Well, yes...they’re actually the logical conclusion at the end of the left spectrum. It’s where they ultimately will go when they can’t achieve their goals through the normal political process - i.e., the war of ideas won through the ballot box.
