When we left the story last, Mrs. Soptik had hurt herself and left her job where she was covered by health insurance. [Years] later she was found to have cancer and passed away.
I am waiting for the “other shoe to drop” because some enterprising investigator ^will^ find that Mrs. Soptik was on disability (either from her former employer or public-assistance) after she left her job.
