Top Democrat: Obama Must 'Repudiate' 'Disgusting' Ad
Breitbart.com ^ | 8-9-12 | John Nolte

The evidence connecting the Obama campaign to Priorities USA, a super PAC that launched an appalling and blatantly false attack ad blaming a woman's death on Mitt Romney, is starting to pile up.

Bill Burton runs Priorities USA and was Obama's deputy press secretary under Robert Gibbs. You can also add in the fact that the man in the ad telling the undeniably tragic tale of his wife's passing, Joe Soptic, has also appeared in ads for the Obama campaign. Finally, just yesterday, senior Obama campaign advisor Stephanie Cutter was caught red-handed lying about her knowledge of the ad.

The ad's overall accusation against Romney is bad enough, but the misleading elements within are so numerous and undeniable, that the ad has prompted the kind of media blowback usually reserved for Republicans. But as you might expect, very little of that blowback has been directed at the person the ad is meant to benefit, President Obama.

Lanny Davis is a slimeball Democrat operative but kinda like the NYT, suffers from occasional bouts of sanity.

Davis occasionally expresses common sense. Occasionally.

Much like the Reid tax attack, this is such a weak message. I is so easy to find incorrect. This commercial is just vicious trash, and an overreach. Same with Reid...the idea that in a 10 year period that Romney was a sitting governor in Massachusetts and spend 6+ years running for President did not pay any taxes is absurd on the face. It has to be laughed at for it’s ridiculousness. If Reid’s attack was that he paid only lower than 10% of something believable, it would probably be more effective. This attack is so clearly false, and easily dismissed.

You forgot to mention that Joe Soptic is wearing the same gray rugby shirt in Both the Obama campaign ad, and the Super Pac ad, leaving one to wonder were they filmed on the same day?

“Joe Septic is wearing the same gray rugby shirt in Both the Obama campaign ad, and the Super Pac ad, leaving one to wonder were they filmed on the same day?”

I wanna know too! I figured Joe Septic would wear a tank top!

What else is the same? Surroundings? weather? people? hair? baggy eyes? belt? pants? Maybe they were, indeed, filmed on the same day! Check them out, and it you think so, send your study to Romney (there’s a campaign suggestions link at his web site).

Dont ever think Lanny is being kind to us.
He is simply warning Obama that he needs to walk it back lest he get burned with all his talk of being civil.

There must be a great yearning amongst the dems to pull out all the stops for Davis to have said this publicly.

Private words apparently have fallen on deaf ears.

This tells me that the inner circle is desperate.

transcript = SOPTIC: (dramatic music) When Mitt Romney and Bain closed the plant I lost my health care (dramatic chime), and my family lost their health care (dramatic chime), and, uh, uh, a short time after that my wife became ill. (dramatic chime) I don’t know how long she was sick. Uhhh, and I think maybe she didn’t say anything because she knew that we — we couldn’t afford the insurance. And — and then one day she — she, uh, became ill (dramatic chime) and I took her up to the Jackson County hospital and — and — and admitted her for pneumonia. And that’s when they found the cancer. And by then we were stage 4. There was — there was nothing they could do for her. (dramatic chime) And she passed away in 22 days. (dramatic chime) I do not think Mitt Romney realizes what he’s done to anyone. (dramatic chime) And I... Furthermore, I do not think Mitt Romney is concerned.”

look carefully.

“...then one day she — she, uh, became ill...”

“...and I took her up to the Jackson County hospital and — and — and admitted her...”

think about it.

she doesn’t have insurance...she got sick...he took her to the hospital and admitted her.

she received health care even though she didn’t have insurance.

when she got sick, she got health care...exactly when she pursued health care.

is Soptic saying that if she had insurance she would have gone to the Dr. without any symptoms...without any indications?

as soon as there was an indication that medical attention was waranted, SHE GOT MEDICAL ATTENTION...and the timing was decided by Soptic, NOT by anyone else.

absense of insurance didn’t delay by a single minute the medical attention they pursued and received.
