I actually tried to give CNN a chance a number of times this past year, when FoxNews became such an embarrassingly unpalatable Rove/Romney GOP-E cheerleading squad (constantly trashing Newt, Perry, Palin, the Tea Party... anyone that didn’t worship at the feet of Mitt). But good grief, CNN was beyond horrid! Might as well call it the Gay News Channel, as I don’t know how anyone straight could stomach it.

Now I’ve almost entirely just given up on all the news channels. Rarely watch any of them. Maybe a half-hour’s worth per week at most. Funny, because I’d been a news junkie for DECADES, but somehow this election season has managed to totally kill that.

I could have written what you said because I was also a news junkie all day long, but this election season has caused me to watch documentaries or movies or anything except Fox or CNN (the few times I used to click on CNN).

I check the news articles on FR during the day now instead of watching Fox.

I feel the same as you. I don't watch any news even Fox. I listen to talk radio,Drudge report and Free Republic (which I love) I joke to my husband that one day he will come home from work and the TV will be lying in the middle of the street.
