Romney calls Obama ‘angry and desperate’ as campaign turns uglier

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Mitt Romney lashed out at President Obama with some of the harshest rhetoric of his campaign at a Tuesday night rally here, accusing Obama of leveling “wild and reckless accusations that disgrace the office of the presidency.”

The already divisive presidential contest took on an even uglier tone after Romney seized on the latest campaign-trail skirmish — a comment at a Virginia rally by Vice President Biden that Romney’s plans to loosen Wall Street regulations would “put y’all back in chains” — to go after his opponents.

“This is what an angry and desperate presidency looks like. President Obama knows better, promised better, and America deserves better,” Romney told a roaring crowd of about 5,000 supporters in Chillicothe. “His campaign strategy is to smash America apart and then try to cobble together 51 percent of the pieces. If an American president wins that way, we all lose.”

Romney added, “Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago and let us get about rebuilding and reuniting America.”

When Ken Blackwell ran for Gov. of Ohio, the dems called him an ‘angry black man’ after a debate with Strickland.

Well, Obama's campaign has taken politics of personal destruction to some ridiculous ends. And it's now starting to backfire on them in a big way.

No, Mitt Romney did not make it “uglier”, Big Media.

Big Media made it all about ugly 4+ years ago and the “chickens are coming home to roost.”

Hussein hasn’t had to fight for anything before, including his job. It’s going to get a whole lot uglier WITH OUR MONEY before this is over, Big Media.

Get used to it, Big Media. You suck!

Time to talk down to Big Media, too.

Obama thinks he is fomenting unrest among minorities and the poor.

Instead, he is shooting himself in the foot......which is just fine by me.

Good old Washington Post, carrying Obama’s water again. They can’t bring themselves to point out that its Obama’s campaign that is becoming nasty. So they trot out the old “both sides” storyline.

Negative ads show Obama’s internals are showing they are down. Keep up the negativity...... And they will be removed from office.

Indeed.

I wonder how we might encourage the old boy to aim higher.

Let’s...When you immediately tell the truth about recent comments from the Democrats it is called attacking.

Using that criteria what do you call the lies that the Democrats say?

IMHO Mitt got it right - call the Democrats on their lies, if possible, use their prior statements as the basis for your response. As distracting as this maybe it must be done otherwise the lies will be repeated until some member of the LMSM says I have heard this a dozen times so it must be true.

In the media, it is always our side ‘getting ugly’ when we are responding to the ugliest of campaigning from the opposition. The left runs a multi-million dollar ad campaign saying our candidate killed a woman with cancer. We are critical of the ad, and it is us making it ugly.

And while visiting a wind farm in Iowa and attempting to deflect from Romney's remarks about a windmill on top of a car, Idi Obama, the canine connoisseur, casually mentioned Romney's dog on the top of the car.

Romney’s record is disgusting, but credit to him for attacking Obama at least a bit.
