The nation's first elected black governor, Doug Wilder of Virginia, has lambasted Vice President Joe Biden on national television for his comment Tuesday about banks keeping people "in chains."
Wilder, a Democrat and a grandson of slaves, echoed indignant Republican claims that Biden's remarks before a largely black crowd in Danville, Va., brought racism into the presidential race.

Maybe somebody should point out to the dipsheet that it was Republicans who removed the chains that had been put there by Democrats.
But then let’s just leave him be to continue to do what he does best.
A word for the wise, Doug Wilder, stay out of parks after dark and do not fly on private airplanes.
I’m convinced Biden has been playing the game.. Since I learned his speech was on his teleprompter, I think he’s on his way out by design. Obama needs a new face on his ticket. Biden is destined to step aside by mutual agreement, IMHO . No one can be as stupid as he’s been unless it’s intentional.
Biden’s not having a good time in VA - a small business owner said “no” to a Biden visit/photo op at his shop because of Obama’s ‘you didn’t build that’ comment. Get the heck out of VA Joe ... we don’t like carpetbaggers.

I am sorry Mr. Wilder, but if you haven’t noticed that race is in this presidential race until this, you haven’t been paying attention.
His only reasonable choice would be Hillary, and neither of those two egomaniacs would be willing to share the stage.
I do think Biden's gaffs are intentional, though.
As long as everyone is talking about what's coming out of his stupid hole, they're NOT talking about anything else.

I’m sure he is seeing it (especially in contrast to 2008, when it was forbidden to mention it), and realizes it is the most sure-fire way to guarantee Obama loses in a landslide. While a vocal minority gives the impression that blacks are a force in politics, the fact is that their numbers are dwindling (thank you Welfare Reform) and are only bolstered by lumping anyone with “1 drop of black blood” as “black”. Bastions of black political power are quickly becoming Hispanic population centers, with the “replacement Americans” winning an increasing number of political seats.
While the open borders spell death by a thousand cuts for “white America”, they are causing much more economic and political damage for blacks; they are no longer the “minority du jour”.
It isn’t only welfare reform cutting into the black population, they re killing millions of black Americans through abortion.
With that and the growing aggressiveness of Black Panthers and Racist blacks they are rapidly making it so that whites who are fed up with this BS are less apt to support them.Killings in their ghetto’s is also a contributing factor.

The welfare reform is driving the abortions; when “Cash for Kids” ended there was no reason for welfare queens to add more so they kill them.
You may have a point
I remember the outcry when the law was passed in 1996; “black leaders” complained that there was an insinuation that they were breeding just for the welfare. The drop in the black birthrate bore that out, and Hispanics passed blacks as the largest minority group 10 years earlier than projected (in 2000 rather than 2010). The “first black president” that signed the law signed the execution order for millions of black babies...
