It's not that they "can't" produce this story. This story does not further the revolution, and it could amplify "false consciousness", so it has to go down the memory hole.

I remember seeing a movie in the seventies with Burt Lancaster asserting that right-wing corps killed J.F.K. Poor Oswald was just a patsy. Nothing has changed since then. The guy who shot up the FRC waa given little time in the major lib media outlets. The frequently violent OWsers's violent crimes were almost totally ignored by the media. Nothing has changed.
Of course the left and MSM have very good reason to want to downplay this. But of course social conservatives are not going to forget this. And things have a way of coming back to haunt those who try to dismiss them.

Militant liberalism is celebrated on PBS with documentaries on “misguided yutes” like the SLA and the Weather Underground.
It’s really the same way they bury attacks on whites by blacks with the excuse (if they even bother) that those are just regular old assaults and murders, but went back over a month to dig up the Trayvon baloney, amd make a federal case out of it. Even though it should be a huge story that most interracial crime is black-on-white, but the average American would probably believe it’s just the opposite because of the way the MSM reports crime.
Same with attacks on conservative groups.
