They broke through a barrier to get to the altar. Not to mention the church isn't their property and they had no right to be there in the first place if they were not there as part of the congregation and with the consent of the congregation.

They don't deserve anyone's support no matter the sentence.

Make no mistake this wasn’t an attack on religion. The Russian Orthodox Church is now about as much about Christianity as the Landeskirchen was during Hitler’s rise to power. Any true Christian would be appalled at what’s going on with the Russian Church. Patriarch Krill didn’t move into the Kremlin to influence Russian government. Krill has moved into the Kremlin because the ROC has been bought and paid for by Putin. I applaud the courage of these young girls to publicly protest Putin’s corruption of the church.

Mark my words: You’ll most likely live to see Putin’s power rise to dictatorial levels in Russia.
