Judge Frank throws out challenge to Election-Day registration (MN)

Federal judge Donovan Frank has thrown out a lawsuit that sought to force state officials to check the eligibility of voters who register on Election Day before their ballots are counted.

The suit, brought by the Minnesota Voters Alliance and others, says there is no way to pull back an ineligible vote after the fact and that allowing ineligible votes could affect the result in close races. Attorneys for the state argued it has no obligation to verify eligibility before counting votes and that trying to do so would not be practical.

Secretary of State Mark Ritchie issued a statement Friday, Aug. 17, saying the ruling “affirmed the constitutionality of same-day voter registration” and will allow an estimated 500,000 voters to register on Election Day this November.

He said the state’s same-day voter registration system is still threatened by the proposed constitutional amendment on the November ballot that would require voters to show photo ID at the polling place. That amendment, if passed by voters, “would eliminate same-day voter registration as we know it,” Ritchie said. That assertion is “completely devoid of any basis in reality,” said Dan McGrath, chairman of the pro-amendment group ProtectMyVote.com, in a statement issued Friday.

Maybe citizens should try this line when they get asked for ID to get into the courthouse the judge works in.

Another Federal “judge” making sure voter fraud stays alive in America. Those pesky Americans keep fighting for that “one man, one vote” thing. These “judges” don’t want any part of that crap. It would make if extremely difficult for their commie ‘RAT masters to get elected.

It's a Clinton-appointed judge; not surprise at this outcome but it flies in the face of sanity and potentially dilutes the franchise for lawfully eligible voters in MN.

It really is the Peoples Republic of Minnesota!

Hmmm...Judge Donovan Frank...Minnesota...wonder where he lives in Minnesota?

Just thinking of sending him a letter asking him about his “ruling” and what he gets in “return” from Bath-House Barry.

“He said the state’s same-day voter registration system is still threatened by the proposed constitutional amendment on the November ballot that would require voters to show photo ID at the polling place.”

So people register to vote without ID currently, and their vote counts? So if some group bused in two or three thousand out-of-staters, they could register and vote without ID????????????

Another Leftist judge undermining the people's vote. Every citizen's vote is diluted when illegals, felons and the dead are granted to right to cast a vote.

We need to appeal this to the highest court in the land.

Uh, never mind. We’re screwed!

The most valuable thing we have as citizens is the vote, it should be closely guarded.

A felon that registers that same day to vote the state cannot verify if they are a felon so they vote and after the fact the state finds out they are not elgible. If you commit a fraud in the voting process there is a $10,000 fine. So does the state go after them, and once the vote is in there we cannot pull it out. Everyone should pre register to vote, it would save time for the election judges and the voters time!

This should be no surprise. This is a liberal judge appointed by Bill Clinton.

Too late for purple thumbs.

The demonic-rats have already taken over vote by mail. This allows them to vote at least twice.
