Ah, that’s right. I remember a research thread discussing Davis’ whereabouts and he wasn’t living in Kalihi in 1952. I had forgotten that.
It’s amazing how trying to fit Davis into the father role causes painful contortions. Lie after lie, just to create another myth.
I remember it, because of the articles that existed then, which described FMD driving 35 miles daily to work at The Record, the family apparently lived in a beach shack when their first children were born. I think it stuck in my mind because the toddler image of zero with the hammer, shows him in the back yard of what appears to be a beach shack in Hawaii. Going by his age, that photograph would date not long before we first see him with SAD at the zoo.
Anyway, I’ve probably irritated enough freepers for one day, and there’s a limit to the abuse I can take, so I’ll call it a day.
