The U.S. Justice Department announced Thursday that it and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission reached a settlement with the now-defunct Valley Club of Huntingdon Valley, two and a half years after filing a lawsuit against the club.

On July 3, 2009, "the club refunded the day camp's membership fee and prohibited the children from returning to swim" according to the federal agency -- a decision the Valley Club contended then was not due to the campers' race but because "we underestimated the capacity of our facilities."
Marcus, who was then 12, told CNN soon after the incident that he'd heard some club members say, "What are these black kids here? They might steal from us."
"It's kind of sad that people still thinking like this," the tearful boy said. "I thought those days were over."

Justice for Trayvon!
.. oh, and business owners, it’s okay to use baseball bats to chase whitey away from the voting sites on your block . . . .
I’m going to tell my kids to do the same and report these racists as they hear N###er every day in school and always hear cracker.
Course it is all said by blacks who my kids tell me that they segregate themselves.
“What are these black kids here? They might steal from us.”
That is exactly what I think damn near every time I see an African/American under 30.
16 Trillion dollars missing will make folks think that!
We are forbidden to say negro.
Next it will be mudhamhead!(Pigs be inseminating him)
He was probably listening to a rap station.
;-\
..I'm pretty sure I saw THAT kid breaking into cars in the parking lot....it's pretty sad that kids still do that sort of things now-a-days...*sniff sniff*
Why haven't some white people been beaten to death in mob violence yet?
This is an outrage!

This was the quote?
I'm calling BS bigtime.
"It's kind of sad that people still thinking like this," the tearful boy said. "I thought those days were over."
Sniff...
Did they ask Channon Christian or Eve Carson about that?
This is a recent development. It was just getting to the point where race didn't matter, but the the race hustlers got their president, and the Amish got their queue they had carte blanche on violent crimes against crackers, so a war is on now. This is new. And most unwelcome.
There is something sadly funny about a 12-year-old-boy being coached to say things like “I thought those days were behind us”.
A real 12-year-old would say “Sure, I’d rob them blind”.
I belong to a similar swim club in a similar area, and there is no way people would be saying, “Those black kids might steal from us.”
They might be bothered that a lot of strangers were there. They might be bothered that the pool had three times the number of people it usually did. They might be bothered that non-members were getting in nearly free instead of paying hundreds of dollars. They might be bothered by the behavior of the campers. They might be bothered by the campers being black and associate all the other things that bothered them the campers’ color.
But they would never ever ever say such a thing aloud. Suburbanites have a code for these things. “Too crowded.” “Too rowdy.” “Too rough for the little kids.” “Not safe for so many non-swimmers.” “Not supervised in the bathrooms.”
PA Ping!
If you want on/off the PA Ping List, please freepmail me. Thanks!
Was this suit based on his sole allegation? Wouldn't it be his word against the club's members, or just because he's black the members are guilty?
This whole thing smells like a boy's locker room.
The club had allowed the day camp to use its facilities.
First day, no problem.
Next day: Turn around and don’t come back.
Reparations.
