Since Isaac reports seem to have dried up, I thought I'd post this one.

With the major roads shut down help will be hard to get there.

Tangipahoa River Dam is about to fail - just gave the word that folks have 90 minutes to clear the valley.

My friend texted me about an hour and a half ago from New Orleans that it was still raining. No electricity.

I am actually a little tired of all of the hurricane coverage each time the wind blows in off the atlantic. Hurricanes have been occurring since before man took his first step. They happen, they will continue to happen. This was barely more than a strong tropical storm and the rain, wind, and damage are not much different from the extensive flooding, strong storms, and very bad weather that naturally occurs and has devastated many areas of the U.S. over the last few years. Power out for weeks? What about the recent outages along the east coast? Flooding? The Missouri and Mississippi rivers as well as other major waterways have extensively flooded over the last few years and there is little of the breathless reporting about those disasters. The people of the coast live in hurricane alley and on a flood plain. Like everyone else, prepare, work to clean up and move on. That’s what everyone else does except for the exception: the chocolate city of NO. These conditions are not new or unusual. Enough of this; it is time to focus on removing the National Socialist Democrat Party from American life.

Wow! Both directions?!? You’d have thought Isaac would have been considerate to do Red Sea parting and left one lane open.

I guess the MSM did the math and came to the conclusion that the "second Katrina" meme could only hurt Obama and the their sacred cow welfare state. They shut up about it awfully quickly, just when Isaac started to do actual damage.
