Katrina was the most destructive storm (in terms of dollars of damage) in our nation history.

You can look at measured wind speeds at the moment of land fall and try and pretend it wasn’t that big of a deal if you want.

But the storm surge and corresponding waves then flooding compares to little in recent history.

You can pretend the should have had equal presidential response. Those who understand hurricane damage see a vast difference.

Obama has lots and lots of real faults. When we make up stuff pretending he failed, it diminishes the argument of his real failures.

Let us focus on the real problems. There are enough of those to go around.

Again, read the first sentence.

(And again) However, the political calculation has me fixated.

You can defend the size of Katrina all day long, and you will still be missing the point.

What makes it even more fascinating is that it really bothered the White House that ROMNEY beat Barry to NO by a day. Carney had a special release saying the One had scheduled his drive-by before Mitt had.

So, given the above, allow me to repeat. Bush beat Barry by a day.
