The US government pays for both party's national convention.

No they don't. The partys do. Mainly from Corp donations. Duke Energy mostly paid for the Democrat convention

The government(taxpayers) contributed about $130 million to both parties for their conventions. Congress needs to zero that out in the future!

The govn. pays for the convention center for both. They don’t pay for anything held outside the center.

I heard this discussed during the Democrat convention but it wasn’t said by a Democrat official. And there was a discussion of whether or not the federal govn. should continue paying for this.
