(CBS/AP) U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens was among four Americans killed in an attack by Muslim protesters on the U.S. consulate compound in Benghazi the previous evening, the U.S. government confirmed Wednesday.
"I strongly condemn the outrageous attack on our diplomatic facility in Benghazi, which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens," President Obama said in a written statement released Wednesday morning. The U.S. government had confirmed one American death on Tuesday.
President Obama said he had ordered heightened security at all U.S. diplomatic offices around the world in the wake of the attack in Benghazi and a similar but less violent incident in Cairo on Tuesday. Both incidents were sparked by hardline Muslims protesting a film made in the U.S. which insults the Muslim prophet Muhammad.

the US State Dept had hired Libya Thugs to guard the Embassy, the two dead Marines had responded from an off site location to the unrest. Obama had an unguarded Embassy, he wouldn’t allow the Marines to be stationed there, and the Egyptians had warned him trouble was comming ahead of the event. Then the hired goons told the protestors where the Ambassador was located, where the safe room was. Does that about size it up?
Obama and Hillary are both personally responsible for these deaths, and they should be held accountable.
Well, here’s the scoop, somehow the administration figured the people over in Libya were our friends since they helped kill Qadafi, am I missing something here? What’s wrong with this picture?
Certainly plenty of information isn’t being discussed which should be discussed.
Could something else have really happened...Libya is quick to blame a Libyan security force.
I’m still waiting to hear word one about the U.S. Marines.
WHERE WERE THE MARINES?
I don’t know if the Marines were stationed somewhere else, or if they were in the building, but I read that they and the other diplomat were shot to death, while Stevens was killed by smoke inhalation, probably when they set fire to the safe room.
So wherever the Marines were at the start, the Muslims came prepared to attack them.
THis is what happens when you help your enemies overthrow the government that has made peace with you. They realize you are stupid and weak, and act accordingly.
How soon before SHrillary resigns? I certainly don't expect Obama to quit his campaign but I wouldn't be surprised to see pudgy Hillary step down in a month or two.
Also, Al Jazeera interviewed their producer who stated that the "mob" had originated at "their military garrison".

It's also interesting that the movie is only mentioned by our government; the story cites about three other reasons, plus planning and forewarning.
Hillary is ultimatly responsible for the safety of her personnel.
