Armada Of British Naval Power Massing In The Gulf As Israel Prepares An Iran Strike An armada of US and British naval power is massing in the Persian Gulf in the belief that Israel is considering a pre-emptive strike against Iran’s covert nuclear weapons programme.

The Strait of Hormuz is only 21 miles wide at its narrowest point By Sean Rayment 15 Sep 2012 Battleships, aircraft carriers, minesweepers and submarines from 25 nations are converging on the strategically important Strait of Hormuz in an unprecedented show of force as Israel and Iran move towards the brink of war.

Western leaders are convinced that Iran will retaliate to any attack by attempting to mine or blockade the shipping lane through which passes around 18 million barrels of oil every day, approximately 35 per cent of the world’s petroleum traded by sea.

A blockade would have a catastrophic effect on the fragile economies of Britain, Europe the United States and Japan, all of which rely heavily on oil and gas supplies from the Gulf.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most congested international waterways. It is only 21 miles wide at its narrowest point and is bordered by the Iranian coast to the north and the United Arab Emirates to the south.

In preparation for any pre-emptive or retaliatory action by Iran, warships from more than 25 countries, including the United States, Britain, France, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, will today begin an annual 12-day exercise.

The British and US and some other nations are sending ships there as part of a planned exercise. Obama had nothing to do with sending the ships there. This was all known in advance, worldwide.

Sad to say but there has not been any 'British naval power' since Maggie Thatcher freed the Falklands.

Nowadays the "blue-water" Royal Navy fleet is small potatoes when its major surface ships includes two aircraft carrier without any fixed-wing aircraft and six guided missile destroyers as the major components.

"Rule, Britannia" was once a might anthem. Today, it is only a pub song if the management will allow it to be sung at all.

And if Obama is reelected, "Anchors Aweigh" and the US Navy will join the Second Rank and Fading Fast Navy Club.

But hey, fear not, campers! We got Obama's Speaking Power... on our side!

An inquisitive mind would like to know….Does any one have an idea what Israel will do if it gets backed against the wall and conventional warfare no longer will cut it. Will it just roll over and give up or will it unleash the fire which powers our universe. I am ready, come what may, but I fear that many will die across the world before cooler heads prevail. Since I was young, the common understanding was that WWIII would be Armageddon in the most Biblical sense of the term. With nuclear armament across the globe, no one is safe.

There’s no doubt in my mind as to Obama’s pedigree or his intentions.

He’s telegraphing our every move to his friends in the ME in direct opposition to America’s goals and flying in the face of the sovereignty and safety of our friends, the Israelis.

Political enemies are dying in Vince-Foster-like one-car accidents.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Obama’s intention is to destroy the United States of America and take as many of us down with her as he possibly can.

Yes, Israel will use nuclear weapons if one of two things happens.

-Israel is attacked with chem/bio by Syria, Lebanon, Egypt or Iran.

-Israel is in danger of being overrun by hordes of lunatics. We all know who the lunatics are. Biggest threat is from Egypt and Syria.

Israel would IMO use neutron weapons at first in hopes that these weapons which cause no radioactive fallout would not trigger a dangerous response from Russia. It is most likely they would be used against Egyptian armor coming toward Israel in the Sinai or against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon if they begin firing chem/bio missiles. Syria would be guaranteed a nuclear response if they attack with chem/bio. (Damascus with a large mushroom in the middle of it)

These days it feels like how it was just before WW1 broke out.
