I’m afraid I have to side with Philippe Reines a little about this. He’s angry because CNN swiped the dead Ambassador’s diary from the scene, and had been reporting on facts gleaned from it for two days before admitting they cribbed everything from crime scene evidence.

No, he's angry because a reporter asked him for factual answers, something that never happens in the Obama regime.

...had been reporting on facts gleaned from it for two days before admitting they cribbed everything from crime scene evidence. It doesn't happen often at CNN but that's journalism. Of course Hillbilly and co. are angry about that. Crime scene!?! ROTFL

...the "diary" is actually like an official journal than a personal diary. According to former ambassador John Bolton, these journals are supposed to be kept by all ambassadors or consuls.
In other words, the so-called diary is something like a ship's log. It is not someone's personal, private, confidential writings.
