Lee Boyd Malvo, who was convicted along with John Allen Muhammad in the 2002 D.C. sniper shootings that left 10 dead and three wounded, says he remembers the killings vividly but can't explain why he did what he did.
"I was a monster," Malvo told the Washington Post in a recent interview from a Virginia prison where he's serving six consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. "If you look up the definition, that's what a monster is. I was a ghoul. I was a thief. I stole people's lives. I did someone else's bidding just because they said so. There is no rhyme or reason or sense."
Malvo, now 27, was a teenager at the time of the shootings. Muhammad was executed in 2009. The shooting spree lasted three weeks before the pair were arrested at a truck stop in Maryland.
"At that point in time, I had been desensitized," Malvo continued. "In the midst of the task, there is no feeling. It got to a point where I'd get in a zone. There was nothing else but whoever is before me, and anything that comes between me and, as you would say, the target, I'm either going...

Last I read, he was a patrol officer in Hawaii. Not a chief.. a patrol officer. I remember someone telling me at the time that he had a speech impediment. Uh.. that is ebonics. Not a speech impediment. Good riddance.
Malvo, you should be 6 years in your grave by now, you bast***.

Where the hell is that stupid Chief Moose anyway. What an ass he made of himself. Can anyone find a single person to speak and intelligent word about him?
We watched a show on TV a couple of weeks ago about the shootings, and how difficult it was to catch them. It turned out that a mistake on the part of the duo, and the memory of one of John Muhammed's neighbors in the NorthWest, was what brought them down.
During one of their 'stakeouts', and where they left a note for the LEO's(which I don't remember hearing about at the time;good police work), there was an empty snack bag with a fingerprint on it. When they were caught, they had the fingerprint to connect them to the scene.
And the neighbor in WA state, I think, remembered Muhammed doing target practice in his back yard, then all of a sudden, he was gone. He thought something was hinky about him, and when the shootings were going on, he called the LEOs in VA to tell them about it.
Unchecked Illegal Immigration has consequences.
Would have lover to have seen that!
I just remember at the gas station, tanking up, making sure it was on the inside of the pump, not outside, etc.
Just feeling so vulnerable...
I now have a 20 gauge pump action shot gun and plan on a concealed .38 Special in the near future....just in case.
Oh really?
So you are an expert in the psychological profile of people like this?
Did I say he should walk out of prison? Did I even say I feel sorry for him?
I do try to practice my Christian faith which, last time I looked, teaches forgiveness...which I believe I said I found hard in this incident.
As for even nearing “liberal touchy-freely crap”, I don’t need to prove to you or anybody else my conservative bona fides.
But, did they ever catch the two white guys with the white van with he ladder on it?
Oh wait!
I don’t care how young he was. he killed people.
Let God forgive him. I’m not so charitable to this vermin.
The state of Virginia already dispatched the one to Hades.
“It’s Memorex!”
Only his imam knows for sure . . .
He was also in his drawings glorifying OBL and Saddam Hussein at the same time but the press didn’t want to dwell on that either because they were still emitting their “Iraq is secular and has nothing to do with al Qaeda” propaganda.
Apparently...
Note that they registered the car they were going to modify on the anniversary of 9/11.
Their killing spree around the beltway started October 2.
October 2 just happens to be the anniverasry of the day the Blind Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman was convicted in 1995.
What’s the source for that? Is Sabertooth someone’s screen name?
I presume the implication is that Malvo phoned in the threat at nearly the precise moment that anniversary anxiety would have been highest, in order to distract attention from — and reduce scrutiny of — Muhammad’s registration.
