FOR THE EDITORIAL BOARD
He projects passion for prosperity, freedom and a military so strong that no force on earth would stand a chance of harming us. It is with great enthusiasm that we encourage Americans to vote for Mitt Romney, who may be exactly the person we need for a renewed focus on life, liberty and private pursuits of happiness.
In a meeting with The Gazettes editorial board on Monday, Gov. Romney laid out a plan and vision for America that is in stark contrast to the presidents. He summarized President Obamas philosophy as government-centered, government-intensive ... which has never worked anywhere in the history of the world.
I believe in encouraging more personal and economic freedom on the part of the American people, because I believe private enterprise creates jobs and builds a bright future, Romney said.
The Gazettes editorial board has extended multiple invitations to Obamas campaign, hoping our president might sell us on his policies. Our invitation was entertained for months, then rejected on Monday.

"If the election were today, who would you vote for?"
The poor Colorado Springs moonbat brigade are spouting their displeasure in the comments section. They are also hitting the poll pretty hard. Currently 71% Obama.
Not surprising. That is a conservative area. I just wish more people lived there to take away from Denver, Aspen and other liberal bastions.
We pretty much have that, but it's run like Barney Fife, forced to keep his solitary bullet in his shirt pocket...
I just read the comments. A lot of Gary Johnson voters it appears. I don’t know who that helps. Some are using that tired “a vote for Johnson is a vote for Obama”. I never witnessed a situation where people are agrivated over who you vote for. People are clearly not given the right to vote for whom you want when people FORCE you to vote for Romney. Yep I am voting for Romney but I would rather vote for Virgil Goode but boy when you say such a thing around here it amounts to being the Anti-Christ....never ever saw anything like it before. Scary times!!!!!
The Springs is the big conservative bastion in the state. Loved living there in the early `80s.
No, the antichrist is in the WH and America needs all conservative hands on deck to have a chance to dislodge it.
Yes - we moved here (The Springs) from Virginia 4 years ago.
We love the area and the people here. Good conservative values - on display when the community came together during the fire a couple months ago.
let me guess, that this is the only conservative editorial they have published all year?
If the election were today, who would you vote for?
Barack Obama
57%
Mitt Romney
40%
Other
3%
will not/cannot vote

Total Votes: 414
as far as anti-Christs go, muzz and mormons both fit that definition...the shills that are so vocal around here seem to be lacking in Faith that God doesnt need our pitiful *help* to cast out his enemies...
oh well, i dont fear bambam, but as is proper, i FEAR the Lord...
“let me guess, that this is the only conservative editorial they have published all year?”
This newspaper was bought last year by a Denver/Bolder, Colorado liberal group (the same group owns the free, weekly, wildly liberal newspaper in town). In order to maintain “objectivity” they had to support Romney, this time. I worry a bit our formerly conservative newspaper is being moved to the left.
I know it is important to vote for Romney this time. However, if we had an American Patriot Democrat in the White House, I might throw a vote against Romney for a conservative. However since that is not the case, Romney gets my vote.......how funny to think there could ever be an American Patriot Democrat...
I think the last one was Zell Miller. He's been off the national stage for quite some time.
