Geez, it’s not like having sec with your mom. Who cares? It’s a debate, not the Superbowl. Sometimes the only entertaining moments are when the rules are in danger.
By the way, I don’t know what Toastmasters is all about, really, but you should teach eachother that making a point or just being engaging often trumps decorum. Which is not to say you should shout all your lines or moon the audience, but never forget no one listens to a speech just because it’s a certain length.

Good point. The fact that Romney occasionally pushed the time envelope worked in his favor. He made his case forcefully, kindly, diplomatically and intelligently. This is what we want in a President.
