I have no idea if Armstrong is guilty or not. I don't keep up with cycling. But, I will submit a question- Ignoring the fact that it breaks the rules, IF everyone at the top IS doping doesn't that mean that Armstrong was still the best? If they're all enhanced then he was the best performer while enhanced, right? Not that it really matters. If it was against the rules then it's still cheating.

I was thinking the same thing. If they all are doing it the he was still the best. If true such a disappointment.

"Pedro! Pepe! To the beach!"

Sorry if no one gets the reference. When I see the names Pedro and Pepe, I can't help it...

Armstrong is an a-hole and may have doped, but how did he manage to never have a positive test?

Evidence of White House Cover-up in Bengazhi debacle ‘overwhelming’

There, fixed it

Don’t suppose anyone will cover that though

But the USADA said 11 riders had come forward

More likely they were called into the questioning room, given an offer they couldn't refuse, and told they would be let off if they agreed to stick it to Armstrong.

I am still very suspicious of the jerk who runs this outfit.

"Tell a lie loud enough and often enough and lots of folk will begin to believe it."

The judgement is based on the word of serial perjurers. No chemical evidence exists and further, the statute of limitations has passed (eight years). There is also the question of domain. This agency has stuck it's nose where it has no charter to do so.

Importantly, it appears to be a tobacco vendetta as the organization perpetrating this outrage is funded by a person important in the pro tobacco milieu. Armstrong has been working on behalf of others on the other side of that situation.

There is combined with this, a slander against the entire U.S. Postal team of which Lance was team member.

Sorry I could not be more specific as to names and facts.

He’s our hero, this is government, so it can’t be true!

(Oh and “it’s” means “it is”. Illiteracy undermines credibility, I’m afraid.)

Verdict of the cycling community is that Armstrong doped. There are only a few die-hard Armstrong fans who are holding out. Here’s a link to the Doping forum at one of the main cycling websites: http://forums.roadbikereview.com/doping-forum/
More discussion and details than most non-cycling obsessed people will want to read, but it is enlightening.

Anyone who was competitive during the Armstrong era doped. They got very good at cheating the tests. Some top cyclists (Andy Hampsten for one) decided to quit the game rather than dope, but they seem to be very few.

eight years
no positive drug tests, not one
and these “members of the team” (LMAO) say it isn’t true

...they are team director Johan Bruyneel, team doctor Pedro Celaya and Jose “Pepe” Marti, the team trainer.

If they couldn’t make a case within 24 months, they should have found something else to waste their time on.

I can’t help but think of Jim Thorpe as this B. S. investigation chugs along...

"the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen,"

Any information given on whether or not Hincapie and the "others" may have been granted immunity from scrutiny and stripped of all their medals and winnings if they testified against Armstrong?

As a side note, if their's and Armstrong's doping was part of "the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen,", then how and why did Landis get busted if he was part of this super drugging scheme?

Inquiring minds want to know

As a post script, nothing remains a secret in the world of professional sports, especially "the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen,". If Armstrong and his team were utilizing this super secret formula it's a given that all the other top riders in the world were using it also. That's just the nature of professional cyclists..........

Armstrong IS the greatest cyclist ever and has done more for testicular cancer awareness and the other foundations he supports than any other athlete has.........

This is indeed a witch hunt being conducted by an agency funded by the federal government and totally independent of the World Cycling Federation so their motivation into this attempt to take down Lance Armstrong has to be brought into question......

Not surprising, they have given a pass to all the other top cyclists from the other countries

Lance Armstrong was a doper, but so was the guy in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, ....

To take away his titles and give them to some other doper seems silly.

Call me credulous but, considering that Armstrong was tested for drugs more than any other athlete in history, I find it easier to believe that he is the victim of a witch hunt than that he did anything wrong.

Three important issues of our times:

Did Lance Armstrong use dope?

Should the shiny side of aluminum foil go to the inside or outside?

Do you want extra fries with that?

IMHO, this is a railroad job from the CEO of US-ADA. Lance must have really pissed someone off to get kangaroo-ed. But yet, there was no positive test on him. Either the CEO put out or shut his mouth....

Good.

Now maybe the USPS can exit the advertising venue.

I never figured out why government agencies and protected monopolies like utilities had any need to advertise or sponsor anything for any reason.
