Chalk one up for Mitt Romney hes got former Happy Days star Scott Baios vote.
The actor, now starring in Nick at Nites new comedy, See Dad Run, stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Friday where he explained why he supports the Republican Presidential nominee.
I believe in Governor Romney for a lot of different reasons. Ive met him many times and hes a straight up guy, hes a good guy, great family man [and] his kids are fantastic, Scott told Kit Hoover and Billy Bush. I think we need to be fixed in this country.
Scott said being a Republican in typically-left-leaning Hollywood can be intimidating and he feels for actress Stacey Dash, who recently faced a barrage of mean-spirited comments after revealing shes voting for Romney.
I dont think anybody should bash anybody for what they believe. I have my beliefs, you have yours, he said. Just leave her alone, let her say what she wants to say. Freedom of speech.
Adding, I dont know why theyre beating [Stacey] up the way they are I really dont.
Scott, a self-proclaimed big Reagan guy, frequently engages in political discussions with Democrats on Twitter and said he doesnt understand why some people become so heated over a difference of opinion.
I have conversations with people who dont see eye-to-eye with me all the time. I dont get in wars with them I just say, Hey, its what you believe. I still like you, he said. Ive got no problem with anybody.
The former Charles in Charge star has been actively involved in the Romney campaign and plans to continue to help out however he can.

his new show is 100% stupid. (charles in charge, neutered man premise)
though his is correct in his political support.
oops my bad, wrong actor.
When I was a young actress in L.A., I dated Baio’s older cousin. We often went over to Scott’s house. This was at the height of his fame. Great, polite kid. Glad to hear he’s still a smart cookie.

Was Scott “going out” with Pamela Anderson?
Was this Jimmy Baio? He had some star power of his own at one time.
You can’t fool me. Baio died in AT LEAST three jet ski accidents.
No, it wasn’t. Unfortunately, I’ve forgotten the young man’s name. All I remember is he was cute and took me all over L.A. on the back of his motorcycle - even the freeways - sans helmets.
another Hollywood person with Brains!!!

Good to hear. I always thought he was a jerk. This article and your comment have changed my opinion.
