Stay in touch with the guy. He’s 90. He’s stuck where he is. It’s frustrating and sad, but he’s stuck. But probably still has some good qualities, as you described. If Romney wins, and the Repubs take enough DC power to run things, the guy might be forced to admit some successes on their part. If Obama wins this guy will see the worst of the worst come to pass.
I will indeed keep visiting my 90-yr-old acquaintance, I just won’t enjoy it as much. We never got into politics before and we got on just fine.
