The Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi targeted more than just a State Department consulate. One of the buildings hit was a covert CIA installation, U.S. officials told Fox News.
The now-abandoned American consulate in Benghazi was set a little more than a mile away from the CIA base. Up to this point, that separate base was described by administration officials only as a "safe house" or "annex" to the nearby consulate. In reality, CIA agents and other intelligence officials were operating out of Benghazi conducting delicate missions, including the search for over 20,000 deadly shoulder-fired missiles previously owned by Muammar Qaddafi's Libyan forces.

One witness told Fox News that Doherty and Woods were found on the roof of the intelligence base manning a single machine gun that was caked in blood, suggesting they continued firing after they were hit by a mortar round approximately seven hours after the attack began.
This is so sad. I want to know WHY someone didn’t do something.

Rex Ubben, 60, said he was a 24-year Air Force veteran who retired in 1995 as master sergeant. He was based at various U.S. embassies. Since retiring, he has been a computer programmer for several banks.
He said David Ubben described the violence on Sept. 11 as “obviously an attack and not a riot,” and sketched out what appeared to be a sophisticated mortar attack during the second wave of the assault. That took place at another compound where U.S. and Libyan personnel retreated, and resulted in the death of Doherty and Woods.
“What I wanted to know was whether the second part of the attack was pre-planned. The first (mortar) dropped 50 yards short and the next two were right on target,” he said, adding his son “was not conscious for any more.”
“This indicates to me that someone was either very, very good, highly trained and skilled, or that the mortar was already set up and pointed at the safe house and only minor adjustments were needed,” he said.

When the first call went to Washington, who sat on this call for help while the Embassy is being attacked initially? And it’s looking like the Washington response was more inadequate for the other installation, the ‘Annex’, as this article states; “...they were hit by a mortar round approximately seven hours after the attack began”.

Telephone calls are made to the embassy in Tripoli, officials in Washington, the Libyan authorities and a U.S. quick reaction force located at a second compound a little more than a mile away.”
It’s starting to look like the attack on the consulate was designed to “smoke out” the Americans and concentrate them at the annex. These guys may have been really good.

Bart Bechtel, a former CIA operations officer who supports Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, said Mr. Clapper’s immediate assessments “stretch credulity.”
“Clapper had to have known the true situation,” Mr. Bechtel said. “However, the White House and State [Department] went out ahead of the [director of national intelligence] and put out the official administration propaganda signaling the line they intended to take. Clapper could follow along or look for another job.”
And how convenient for the bias liberal media, Hillary takes full responsibility for Benghazi, then leaves town, out of sight, out of mind...

Yet, we have other reports saying that this same CIA annex was coordinating transport of these weapons to the Syria rebels through Turkey. So were they searching for them? Or trying to sell them? Or searching for them so that they could then sell them?

The Sigonella-Bengazi distance is 470 miles, less than Los Angeles to San Francisco or the same as an RT DC/NYC trip —an armed F-18 with ground observation pods can fly that distance in 20 minutes. An AC-130 can fly that distance in less than 90 minutes.
A geared-up QRT team on the ground at Sigonella just SAT THERE with no go-code —they were fully prepared and never went into action.

So many questions - no answers. Where the heck is the press? Fox had a terrific report on (Bret Baier) Friday, repeated last night (Sunday). Even THEY left out the part about his torture. That was sickening. Like you, I've read many different stories, theories, etc. Was he pro-Muslim? Was he lured over to the consulate on purpose as a set up (God help those 4 brave men)? Why didn't someone do something? We know there had to be Navy ships out there with aircraft capable of coming to the aid of these men. Hours of the two X-Navy seals desperately trying to defend this consulate?
The 2 X-Navy seals were working at the Annex / for the CIA trying to find (?) all those 20,000 weapons that went missing. Those are now scattered all over the world. Many capable of taking down aircraft. Where is David Patraeus, head of the CIA? WHO was looking, WHO made the phone call to the White House? Who AT the White House said - who cares? Why did Zippy go to bed and not even have a security meeting the next morning.
The time difference alone is disgusting. When it's 9:00 PM there in Benghazi it's at least 6 hours earlier in DC. Right? I'm so disgusted with this horrendous bunch in the administration and I hope and pray that every person that can vote does so for Romney/Ryan. This administration is the worst in our nation's history, IMHO.
Bump in the road? Not Optimal? Repulsive and nauseating and more.
