Vote like your lady parts depend on it said a slogan posted for a time on Barack Obamas campaign website.
Do women really vote with their lady parts?
A new study reported on and then pulled from CNNs website claims that during the fertile time of the month, when levels of the hormone estrogen are high, single women appeared more likely to vote for Obama and committed women appeared more likely to vote for Romney, by a margin of at least 20 percent.
One of the researchers, Kristina Durante of the University of Texas, San Antonio, theorizes that ovulating women feel sexier, and this drives them toward more liberal attitudes about sex and abortion. Married women have the same feelings, but repress them:
I think theyre overcompensating for the increase of the hormones motivating them to have sex with other men, Durante said. Its a way of convincing themselves that theyre not the type to give in to such sexual urges, according to Professor (if Liz Warren still lets me use that word) Durante.
Speaking as a guy, I find the obsession with the womens vote embarrassing. Whether its the Obama campaigns desperate and ridiculous accusations about Mitt Romney being anti-birth control, or watching Scott Brown do everything but cross dress in his TV ads, the idea that women would approach a national election in a less-rational way than men is, well, demeaning.
I could be wrong. Maybe they do like being pandered to with ad messages straight from a bad Lifetime Network movie.
And maybe they dont. A recurring meme from women on the blogosphere right now is I dont vote with my lady parts, I vote with my lady smarts.
Then there are the polls. Before the...

Obama is like an aging hipster, desperately trying to be “cool” with the younger crowd.
Pathetic.
UTSA?
What a seething liberal cesspool.
Right in the middle of the compound is a huge statue honoring those who crossed the Rio Grande illegally.
Like my lady parts depend on it? What about the lady parts that are destroyed when females are aborted?
This doesn’t even mention the new ad where some piggish lesbian tries to convince women that voting for Obama will be like having sex with a man for the first time.
A counter proposal:
“Scru the lady parts, vote to save your Azz.”
I can maybe see how they, given their worldview, would think that what they believe to be a women’s desire to fornicate, consequence-free, “like a man”, would be the single motivation to appeal to.
It just shows how sick their worldview is, I guess.
A long time ago Rush Limbaugh would announce Connie Chung’s ovulation cycle.
Liberals think women are oversexed hookers.
They’re obsessed with sex! And they wonder why people have no respect for them.
Go figure.
Clearly, the brain is not included in “lady parts.”
This, from people who think the way to appeal to female voters is to parade around for the cameras dressed in vulva costumes.
They remind me of Nedra Ruiz, the crazy attorney for Marjorie Knoller (the owner of the dogs that killed Diane Whipple in San Fransisco).
Because she had so little to work with - her client’s guilt being obvious to anyone but a retarded person - Ms. Ruiz turned the Knoller trial into a circus, going so far as to get down on her hands and knees on the courtroom floor, in front of the jury box, and act out the behavior patterns of Knoller’s killer dog. Her act included making loud barking noises in open court.
She brought radical left-wing street theater tactics into the courtroom.
Somewhat surprisingly - in that the trial was held in San Francisco - the jury was not impressed, and found Knoller guilty on all counts.
Needless to say, attorney Ruiz is a rabid left-winger, as was defendant Marjorie Knoller and her then-husband and fellow piece-of-work Robert Noel.
