LONGMONT -- The Weld County District Attorney's office confirmed Thursday that it has launched a criminal investigation into officials at bankrupt Abound Solar, whose manufacturing facility was located along the Interstate 25 Frontage Road but had a Longmont address.

...

In the statement, he said his office is "looking into possible instances of securities fraud based on allegations that officials at Abound Solar knew products the company was selling were defective, and then asked investors to invest in the company without telling them about the defective products."

...

Abound had used $70.9 million of the DOE's $400 million loan guarantee when it went into bankruptcy. It had also had $300 million in private investments, according to its website.

And so Obama's crony capitalism (aka, fascism) corruption deepens. Article goes on to explain the DA is looking at two other criminal charges in addition to the one in the excerpt. Apparently, the investigations stem from a whistle-blower article in the online Daily Caller.

(Looks like real journalism is shifting from the dying ObamaMedia lapdog press to the online NewPress.

The local print press wouldn't have touched the whistle-blower story for a million dollars. They'd much rather approach the oblivion of being flushed down the toilet rather than actually seeking out corruption and reporting objective news. I'm surprised they bothered to write a story about the local DA's action.)

Anybody want to bet AP will pick this up? Me neither.

“This site is becoming a mirror to the Drudge Report.”

Is that a GOOD thing or a BAD thing? Or are you just saying?

Well, it may be bad for FR. It’s been down so much lately that I’ve been going to Drudge to get my news, and I normally go there less than a couple times a YEAR.

But a funny thing happened. I’d notice a story on Drudge, and then it would be on FR. And it happened again. And again. Eventually I caught myself consciously thinking: I can go directly to drudge to get most of this stuff and it’s always up. And now most of the sites they link to allow comments. So, um, well, you know...
