was there a hit on the ambassador from Chicago? or was this all to create a crisis and draw the country together and get obama re elected..except it blew up in their faces. at the time Obama was catching heck due to economy and they needed a game change.

I think you’ve hit on it. Remember back when one of his staff said the Food Stamp President needed a 9/11 moment in his re-election. I think this was it, but it was botched. Remember that you are dealing with scum and nothing is too low for them to try ... “the ends justify the means” so say his comrades (Ayers, Davis, Van Jones, Clintons, etc.).
