A Nation Adrift

Who is this president and how does he relate to the popular novel? Is he the man-eating tiger, or the potential victim in the little boy named "Pi"?

Like most of Obama's creations (cf. Dreams from My Father), his all-devouring tiger was a composite: a combination of predatory capitalism and rampant greed; and of uncaring and non-interventionist and non-redistributive government.

Never mind that this tiger is a total illusion. It is not what produced the subprime housing crisis or the financial meltdown of 2008.

...winning a second term as president despite the obvious failure of his policies to produce jobs and income growth over his first term in office… and despite the explosive growth in national debt caused by those same policies.

It happened in ancient Greece. And it has happened again in modern Greece (and many other states besides).

In his acceptance speech at the Democratic convention in late August 2008, Obama promised the sun, the moon, and the stars, saying, among other things:

I'll invest $150 billion over the next decade in affordable, renewable sources of energy -- an investment that will lead to new industries and five million new jobs that pay well and can't ever be outsourced.

However, as soon as he was sworn into the presidency, he began -- simultaneously -- to turn up the spigot on federal spending; and to bad-mouth the economy. This created a heads-we-win; tails-you-lose scenario, allowing the president to accept credit for any possible economic gains while blaming any disappointments on George W. Bush or previous presidents going back to Ronald Reagan.

This loser and his family have been screwing the American public since the day he became a senator. Too bad for America. We Conservative voters mistakenly thought that once out of office in January the indictments will start coming in and the trials and convictions. Just think the Commander in Chief of the Military convicted of Treason, which I believe that is still a capital crime. I guess the Florida Democrats head office saw ahead to the future when they had a US flag with Obama's face emblazoned on it hanging from a pole. Never thought I'd see the day a democrat would be the first to hang him. Cool idea though. NObama 2012. Who in their right mind would have thought it would come to this?

The liar's motto this time was 'Forward'. Forward to where? Hell? Ignominity? To be a banana republic without the bananas?

Let's make no mistake about it: this next four years will be a horrible experience as there will be an even more rapid descent into the bowels of failure, embarrassment and evil beyond our wildest nightmares.

It may be by a small margin, but he's got the shakers and doers of America by the short hairs!

This phony American is in the driver's seat of the bus and he'll run over us just as sure as his name is Barack HUSSEIN Obama. He shares a few things with Billy Goat Clinton and one of them is that neither's mother was married to their father. That makes them both b-stards!
