He... the judge... also says the legislature, not courts, sets election procedures.

Hilarious coming from a jurist in the state that thought they could waive "election procedures" and keep the vote count going until Gore finally caught up and passed Bush in 2000.

The law says whatever these bastards say it is. Welcome to the third world.

I’m trying to get a handle on that myself.

Seems to me as if legislatures set election laws, and if it appears that irreparable harm is or will be taking place because of the violation of those laws that courts are where you go to get someone to step in and halt it.
