There are some so far gone into voting for whichever candidate is wearing the proper color team "jersey" -- regardless of whichever baseline conservative principle(s) said candidate may (or, more often, may
not) actually happen to profess -- they'd happily champion Nancy Pelosi for public office, so long as she had a capital letter "R" on the ballot after her name.
