Yep, we've been spending years, billions of dollars, and the lives of own our people training our own enemies to kill us!

The fact that our government is apparently too stupid to realize what's going on is just another sign of how far we've fallen.

and this is how we are going to defeat jihadist islamism:

‘Islamist militancy shows no signs of receding. Thus, it will take commitment to digest and learn from America’s recent twin wars. Counter-insurgency has always involved police work to track down guerrillas and bring them to justice. So like good constables, the U.S. military must sharpen its detective skills. This will require determination to enhance the human investigative and biometric techniques to counter the insidious danger posed by insider attacks to America’s strategy of host-nation participation in the conflict against global jihadists. ‘

Through biometrics. The author is an expert on the bark of one tree he and most of the US security apparatus do not see the the ‘forest’ of jihadist and jihad enabling Arabized Muslims as the real center of mass. Until these people can be appropriately terrorized or made to understand their choices will produce very bad outcomes for them and their immediate families then the jihad war will go on being slowly lost. Americans of today do not want , or at least the chattering classes and the foreign and military policy establishment do not want, to accept this unpalatable truth. Eventually some jihadists will detonate or release some sort of radiological or radiological/biological weapon or weapons in the US and then there may be the appropriate response unleashed on the mass that supports the perpetrators.
