The libs are out in full force on the Post's site including those who only seem to care about fighting for the rights of certain groups.

Agree or disagree with Brigitte Vosse, she has every right in the world to display her sign.
IF it complies with the HOA CCRs & city zoning.

If it was a cross or anything “conservative” those same libs would be calling for SWAT teams.

Silly lib though she may be, she’s got every right to hang that sign. Using a rule about commercial signage to restrict something hanging in a 16th-floor living room window is asinine, but typical of the nannies in Bloomberg’s New York.

I agree, but she probably just voted against freedom so I’m having difficulty caring right now. Let her fight her nazis herself.

“The city claims the peace symbol violates zoning laws requiring signs in commercial districts be no higher than 40 feet above the curb.”
That sounds like bunk to me. Not the regulation, but the interpretation of it in regards to what the woman has in her window. Whether or not I agree with her views, I think the city is playing dirty pool here.

Sheesh. From the ground, 16 floors up, you can hardly even see the sign. It looks like her fellow libs, being libs, just can’t live and let live, but have to insert themselves into everything that doesn’t fit their perfect world-view just so. (I’m no peace-nick, but I think the sign looks kind of cheerful.)

IF it complies with the HOA CCRs & city zoning. Even so, this is tyranny. When some HOA comes down on somebody for a flag, we're all outraged. This is no different.
At least the good guys prevailed on this one:

She should be allowed to keep it ONLY if she wears a burqa 24/7, gives up her right to vote, turns in her driver’s license and keeps her Fluken mouth shut around men.

So just what counts as a sign and what as an illuminated window decoration?
Maybe it’s hanging from a chain or cord. If she re-mounted the unit on a base which sits on the inside window sill or on a table, it would become an illuminated window decoration.

If it’s in that picture of the building front, I can’t even tell where it is.
This sounds like the sort of trifle that the law shouldn’t even lend itself to prosecuting. It’s not like there were a visible series of windows reading “EAT MORE TWINKIES” or something like that. For something to even count as a sign it ought to be legible.
