I’m not sure what the liberal agenda is here. Do they want to reunite with Britain? It wouldn’t surprise me, seeing as it is the model for moocher, atheistic welfare states everywhere.

I imagine the Brits saw it that way also.

uh, I think the point is to explain how the British would have perceived the event.

Jimmy Carter actually said that the American Revolution was unnecessary.

There is no moral equivalence between the Tea Party (either the Boston version back when the people of Massachusetts valued patriotism, or the modern version) and terrorists. Those who cannot tell the difference between the two groups, or between Hamas terrorists hiding behind children as they fire rockets at Israeli civilians and Israeli soldiers taking extra risks in order to avoid injuring civilians while stopping the terrorists, are worse than stupid. Today’s leftists choose to be blind to truth, and I find their celebration of ignorance disgusting.

In the history books “Tea Party” once was a patriotic thing - a populist movement of resistance to tyrranical ways.
Today’s Tea Party is a patriotic thing - a populist movement of resistance to tyrranical ways.
OH - the left can’t have that! To them, the modern Tea Party is the worst thing that happened - they have to demonize it.

The curriculum has changed radically since I attended Houston schools. This is what you get when Communists take over education to corrupt our youth, and they have mostly succeeded.

Not surprising. According to the left America was founded on racism, terrorism and genocide. Then we wonder why our young adults vote for Marxists and wear Che T-shirts. The question is, what are Texans going to do correct this situation in their schools?

The history books are written by the victors, and right now the leftist-fascists are winning. Get used to the propaganda.

It says the ‘ lesson plan” hasn’t been used since 2010 and I am guessing that after this article it will get taken off their web site
As a lesson plan it was quite weak although i am sure it got some of the lib teachers all exicted

I have no doubt some teachers tried to use it in their schools and had to discontinue it.

I am surprised and glad CBS in Houston exposed this

You can reasonably see The Tea Party as being viewed as a terrorist attack by loyalists and The Crown.

It was actually quite different that what some people believe. They didn't dump the tea because they were mad about the tea tax. The colonists had already done a great job of “sticking it to the man” over the tea taxes. It turns out they were adept at smuggling, and famously, switching to coffee. Just how bad could that have been?Having some of my favorite coffee right now, I wonder just what it would take to make me switch to tea? It would have to be some really special tea!

The protest at Boston Harbor was over The Tea Act. That was actually a tax exemption given to The Crowns pet corporation, The British East India Company. It was designed to allow the BEIC to get their high quality tea back on the market in the colonies. That of course pissed of the colonists who hated the BEIC anyway for numerous reasons.

The equivalent of a protest like that today would definitely be seen as a terrorist attack. I'm not sure what it would have to be. Maybe some kind of sabotage of the banking system to protest the bailouts? I could see The Tea party movement people having gone along with that, at least in the first couple of months back in 2009.

“A local militia, believed to be a terrorist organization, attacked the property of private citizens today at our nation’s busiest port,”

Cute but whose “nation”? These were just a bunch of British colonies, not a nation. They can’t even re-write history very well.
