It is precisely this 'no use' mentality that keeps us from doing anything towards our goals.
Is it better to let them gloat about their voter-fraud win in glory than to show them we know what they are doing and we will not go silently into the nights?
Is it better to join the officials and party's inaction than to act on our own?
Count me in! If I see any cowards saying hey can’t make it cause of work or some social event I think they should be banned from Free Republic. We MUST begin to make our stand.
The Egyptians who are fighting Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood take-over of their political system don’t have computers as U.S. conservatives do. Computers enable us to gripe to each other about our country’s fall to Communism without any personal inconvenience.
This is a great idea. Perhaps it would give some backbone to the spineless Republicans who believe the Democrats have a mandate.
anyone can stay home and not shop
do not purchase anything, for one day
that will surrly make millions of voices “heard”
by the masters of the obamaconomy
At the last Bush inaugural we ran into a very dense crowd of protesters that was so deep we actually couldn’t get through
it in time to get to our ticketed place.
You are yelling into the wind however. Activism has been gone from Free Republic for several years. Praying is easier and less expensive and can be accomplished while involved in daily routine posts. One doesn’t need to leave the comfort of a comfortable warm home to pray. The new activism is prayer
We’re gonna need a lot of signs! Although one big FUBO would sum it up.
No thanks. Too much crap about “The true definition of Natural Born Citizen” and handwaving about “Fight Obama and Democrat Party Over Stolen Election”. The longer list of issues (e.g. war on coal) on that website is great. But they are not linked to anything, no effort expended and no help to educate people. Those need to be the focus, not the fake “issues” of stolen elections and Birth Certificate forgeries.
I’m sure I’ll be in the minority here, but I think his inauguration day is the one day we should respect the processes of democracy, however imperfectly executed.
That doesn’t mean we have to become Obama supporters, it just means it is the one day out of 365 in the year that we should be least inclined to take to the streets.
I’m all for using the leftist tactics - but in this case - I really don’t think it will matter.
As others have posted - prayer is what we need. I highly recommend that we all prepare for the night when the Angel of Death approaches - for those of us under the banner of Christ and those who stand together to educate our children about the REAL US of A...will be protected by the lambs blood...
They know we have masses - this last election wasn’t a land slide in numbers - it was decided by a few percentage points - and the GOP could have won had they chosen the correct candidate. Washington has no leaders - they are elected idiots convinced that we all still believe that the system works correctly.
The night is coming - prepare your families to be ready - and those of us left will unite and reform this Republic after a cleansing is completed...
just my 2 cents...
The lazy did not turn out to vote him out of office, they are not going to go protest in the cold.
November 6, 2012 was the proper day for an anti Obama rally. I participated in that rally by voting for the candidate I felt would do the least harm to America. However, the majority of the voters preferred the candidate who I felt would do the most harm.
Never underestimate the power of ignorant people in large groups.
You will just be Blamed for the Filthy Mess that is Left Behind by the Multitudes of Zombies who come to Praise Obama,Peace be upon Him.
I get the feeling that you haven’t a clue what it takes to put together an event that would draw several hundred thousand people. It also costs money. You don’t just show up somewhere.
I’d love to come to Washington again for another march-—I’ve been to everyone FR has sponsored, and to others put on by other people. The last one I attended was Sara Palin’s TEA party march where there close to 2 million attendees.
It was patriotic and fun, but I don’t think it accomplished much in the end.
Also, I can predict that BO isn’t going anywhere until his term is over. If I thought there were the slightest chance of having any affect at all on him, I’d be there!
It’s fitting that Obama inauguration No. 2 will fall on King Day. I wonder if Obama could have ever been elected had Reagan not signed the King Day bill in 1983. Few things are more a result of “white guilt” than King Day.
I’ll be working
Conservatives can’t go to the rally...they have to work for a living and can only get off on the weekend.
Liberals don’t have to work for a living and can be bussed in by the thousands any day of the week.
The conservatives have to work to generate the taxes to pay the worthless liberals.
If you cannot afford to go to Washington, D.C., then form local groups to attend non-violent protest marches at state capitol buildings or aimed directly at the nearest affordable U.S. Government location nearest you.
Okay. This is going to be a real loser again...A waist of time if you will. Its going to be nothing more than one big social event as usual where the participants have great fun getting to know one another.
Why not also have speakers like Glenn Beck and others to entertain the crowd?
Dont forget to say please and thank you.
(You folks need to learn from the Egyptians.)
The March for Life happens a few days later on Friday, March 25th. So if anyone wants to spend a winter week in DC, this could be the week.
Call in sick, do no shopping or dining, and blast your car horn for 30 seconds every hour on the hour 8 am - 8 pm. Will be felt and heard throughout the land.
waist = waiste
sorry.
