The strange thing is that conservatives in flyover country want this sort of attack stopped, even though we are definitely not the target of such an attack. Liberals in our urban areas are likely targets (except in places like Detroit, where no one would notice, so their homes are off the target list), but they are more concerned with offending some delicate person’s sense of diversity than with defending against mass murder.
I find it harder and harder to care what happens in NY, Ca etc... They made their bed.
I’m not so sure flyover country will be safe. I think that in addition to infrastructure attacks, there’s a chance for a Beslan-type of assault at a gun-free school or mall. That could happen anywhere, and more likely to happen where there is no large SWAT team nearby.
I would expect them to be very diverse...Pick off a few shopping malls in flyover country on Christmas Eve, as well as larger cities...
