The tides aren't new - they happen every year - but this week a coalition of government and nonprofit advocates hopes the photos will draw attention to the rising seas.

If they happen (in the same way) every year, then there's no evidence that the seas are rising.

Put another way, they are intentionally misrepresenting a routine, annual occurrence (which is to say, the 1-year flood plane boundary) as a catastrophic, human-caused disaster that trillions of dollars worth of economic output should be sacrificed in order to prevent. Which it won’t, because the tides will happen anyway, even if all carbon combustion ceased immediately.
