I watched V for Vendetta and took away the same impression.

Yeah! Same here. The government had complete control of everything. That's a left wing agenda. I find it odd so many youngsters follow that movie and and don't see it. They can't do anything that isn't PC, or government approved.
It may be because the schools have become PC prisons, and they have no idea what freedom really is.
