What impact will Bennett’s rise have on the recent election of Moshe Feiglin as a Likud MK?
Feiglin wasn’t elected. He was nominated as #14 on the Likud party list. Most likely he will be elected, because Likud is still a very strong party. But Bibi will have a hard time avoiding including Bayit Yehudi in his government if under Bennett they get 15 to 20 seats. That means that the Right will predominate, and he won’t be able to get a leftist henchman like Ehud Barak to go around willy nilly tearing down houses in Judah and Samaria, or ignoring shepherds who are being driven to ruin by thieving Bedouins. It will be that much harder for Obama to push us around. Feiglin will not be alone in the Likud. He’ll have allies in Bayit Yehudi, and together they’ll fight the good fight. Of course, these are politicians, so who knows what their price really is.
