All aboard? Paul Ryan supports Marco Rubio’s immigration reform outline

Former vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan says he supports "the principles" of an immigration reform proposal from Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, a sign that the party may be coalescing around its own plan to overhaul the nation's laws.

"Senator Rubio is exactly right on the need to fix our broken immigration system," the congressman wrote on his Facebook page on Monday, with a link to a Wall Street Journal article that includes Rubio's key immigration goals. "I support the principles he’s outlined: modernization of our immigration laws; stronger security to curb illegal immigration; and respect for the rule of law in addressing the complex challenge of the undocumented population. Our future depends on an immigration system that works."

Republicans and Democrats are both in the early stages of building coalitions for support for what could be a major immigration bill later this year.

The basis of gun control is to restrict the rights of all citizens to stop a minuscule number of mentally ill from misusing guns.

Why can't we deport all of the illegals in response to the illegal aliens that run most of the interstate shipping of illegal drugs?

The fake conservatives are showing themselves.

Maybe Ryan can come up with more fake numbers like his fake deficit-reducing budget that depended upon a mythical 5% annual growth in GDP.

When is the treatment of American citizens in Mexico and their rights vs US treatment of Mexicans going to be an issue when we discuss amnesty ?

Ever hear of reciprocal aggrements ? These are arranged to protect the rights of American citizens working or living in other countries.

Why is it when it comes to citizens of other countries we are required to offer them the same privledges as we do to US citizens? But when it comes to US citizens who get in trouble or attempt to do business in other countries they do not get the same treatment their citizens get.

Americans can’t own coast land in Mexico. And get no title to it elsewhere. If they run out of cash they’ll get unceremoniously sent back or put in jail untill some relative comes up with the “fresh”. That’s just for starters as for granting them voting privledges yea let’s give Mexican citizens that right when American citizens vote in their elections

stronger security to curb illegal immigration

If we believe that, we get the Brooklyn Bridge for free and the Golden Gate bridge thrown in as a bonus.

Yeah, the FED curbing illegal immigration. When they institute efforts to actually STOP it, then it might be worth considering. Until then, it is just more of the same bait-and-switch.

to hell with both of them!!!

The only thing broken is a lack of enforcement of existing law!!!

Prosecute every person hiring one, business or homeowner, and they will be gone within 6 months!!!

I wasted my vote on an Amnesty Liberal. Lied to Again

I supported Ryan over Rubio for VP because of Rubio being Amnesty Liberal. Heck, I think “Ryan” translates to “Rubio” in Spanish

Any form of Illegal Alien Amnesty is Anti-American Bigotry. We need our borders secure, and all Illegal Aliens DEPORTED.

Paul Ryan...you are an Anti-American Bigot, and an Amnesty Liberal.

Sounds good to me. Rubio has broken this down into separate segments dealing with different aspects of immigration (ranging from farm workers to techies) because he doesn’t want the Dems to have one big bill to which they can start attaching things.

If people don’t make constructive comments and get behind reasonable reforms, we’re going to have the Dems supporting implementation of an executive order for 100% Muslim African immigration thanks to Obama. No kidding, because Obama has already taken away from our existing legal immigration to give those slots to Muslims.

We need to have something he can’t tinker with.

What part of Illegal Alien Amnesty don’t you get?

There is no need to re-do “Immigration Laws”. The laws are already on the books. Enforce the current laws...not act like so Big Government Liberal and create 1000s of new laws

If you are not for 100% Deportation of all Illegal Aliens...it is Amnesty. Plain and simple

Illegal Alien Amnesty is Anti-American Bigotry

Yep, these frauds are backing our country’s demise.

“Respect for the rule of law in addressing the complex challenge of our country’s illegal immigrant population”?

That’s exactly what these clowns are spitting on.

The sooner we all realize that even our ‘young gun’ GOP leadership is rotten to the core, the better.
